Facelifting Stations SBB CFF FFS

(619 Stations all over Switzerland)

Below the light telephoto were installed two ground luminaires with two 150 watt metal halogen lamps for each luminaire. The cover in the area of light emission consists of armored glass. In order to reduce the heat development, a fan has been integrated, which ensures a maximum temperature of only 70° on the glass surface. For a guaranteed perfect glare of spotlights, are used reflectors with multiple suppression. These also provide an optimum limit of radiation on the stele and a brilliant representation of the SBB logo. The lamp has been optimized especially for the reduction of light pollution (astronomy, bird protection) and the surface temperatures.

The majority of existing stations along the SBB railway network are well over 100 to 150 years old. Their facelift was to bring the stations up to modern standards and satisfy the requirements of customers. Following in-depth analyses and market research amongst the railway´s customers, a comprehensive architectural concept was developed for the rehabilitation of 619 regional railway stations. This concept not only takes account of the specific setting of the individual stations but also provides design modules, whose standardized elements ensure that the various regional railway stations retain coherent appearance.
